Website, SEO, enquiries and updates, run for you.Live in 72 hours

Harvey Rupert

The digital front office for UK survey firms

We run your front office. You stay in the field.

Your website, SEO, enquiries, job posts and updates, built and run for you as one service. Live in 72 hours from the agreed start, with every update previewed for your approval. First month free.

How it works on your phone with WhatsApp, which comes with Paddock or the WhatsApp add-on (every plan can do the same by email): a new enquiry from your website arrives in WhatsApp (it is also sent to your email). You then send “Add a job: field assistant, Taunton”. We reply with a preview of the job post and ask you to reply YES 4821. You reply “YES 4821”, we reply “Live.”, and the job appears on the careers page of your website. Beside the phone is a careers page from the Paddock Hill Surveying demo, a fictional firm.

What is included

A site ready for enquiries

The pages and tools your clients need. Included in both plans.

Before

Less to manage yourself

  • Finding time to make website changes yourself.
  • Saving updates until you are back at a desk.
  • Moving old pages and project details by hand.
  • Working out search setup alongside the day job.

After

We take care of the website

  • Help clients check your credentials

Put your professional memberships, accreditations and insurance where clients can find them, for example membership of RICS or of the Geospatial Survey Association (GSA), formerly The Survey Association (TSA), if you hold one.

  • Name your professional bodies accurately

List only the bodies you belong to, in your own words. We never add a membership you have not told us about.

  • Explain each survey type clearly

Give topographical, measured building, utility survey and setting-out services their own pages, with clear next steps. If you map utilities to PAS 128, say so in your own words.

  • Show where you work

Service-area pages help people searching in your towns and counties understand where you work.

  • Make it easy to ask for a quote

Short forms send enquiries to your email. WhatsApp alerts come with Paddock or the Trig add-on.

  • Start with search in place

Page titles, a sitemap and structured data help search engines understand your site.

  • Keep your business details consistent

Your name, services and areas match across your site and Google Business Profile.

  • Advertise open roles

Send vacancies by email for your careers page, from survey technician to utility surveyor. Job posts use your monthly post allowance.

Keep your careers page current

Hiring a surveyor, a draftsperson or a locator? Email the role to your relay address. You get a preview back, reply to confirm, and it goes onto your careers page with Google for Jobs markup, so it can appear in Google’s job search. Closing it when the role is filled counts as one more post. On Paddock, or Trig with the WhatsApp add-on, you can send it by WhatsApp instead.

FAQ

Your questions, answered

How the trial, updates and yearly fees work.

Who are the websites for?

Small UK survey firms: land and topographical survey, measured building survey, and utility survey and PAS 128 mapping. We build and run the site, so you can stay on site. Each service gets pages of its own, and you choose between two designs.

How quickly can my survey firm’s website go live?

Live in 72 hours from the written agreed start, once scope, content, rights, domain access, email arrangements and approver availability are confirmed. Until those are in place, the clock has not started.

Do I own my domain?

Yes. Your domain stays yours, including if you leave. We can acquire an available domain for you at the registrar’s cost, with your approval and no markup. If you already have one, we can update its registrar or DNS settings or arrange an agreed transfer, as long as you provide the access and authorisation needed.

What if I want to leave?

If the site is not right for you after the free month, tell us. You pay nothing for the build unless you agree to continue, and your domain stays yours.

What counts as a lead?

A real enquiry for surveying or locating work, such as a quote request, call or message. Spam and sales pitches do not count. Before the trial, we agree what qualifies and set the lead and visit targets with you. Targets are not guarantees.

I already have a website. Can you move it across?

Yes. We bring your agreed public pages, text, images, downloads and project summaries across to the new site, and SEO is set up as part of the build. Migration is included in your first-year price. Nobody can promise rankings or traffic after a move, so we do not.

Can I update my website by email, without a login?

Yes. Send updates by email and approve the preview by reply. We make the change for you, so there is no website login to manage. During onboarding, a private invitation uses a password and an email code so you can send your details and website files securely.

How do changes work?

Email your relay address with the change: a phone number, service, area or job vacancy. We email a preview for you to approve by reply before it goes live. Each content update, job post or job closure counts as one post. Trig includes 10 posts a month by email. Paddock includes 20 posts a month, by email or WhatsApp. On Trig, the WhatsApp add-on (£250 a year) adds WhatsApp and lifts you to 20 posts a month. New leads always reach your email, and with WhatsApp you get a lead alert there too.

Can I advertise survey technician vacancies on my own website?

Yes. Email the role, such as a survey technician, utility surveyor or assistant land surveyor, and approve the preview by reply. It goes onto your careers page. Job posts and job closures count towards your monthly posts.

Can I get enquiry alerts on WhatsApp?

Yes. Paddock includes WhatsApp: send updates there and get a lead alert for each new enquiry. On Trig, the WhatsApp add-on is £250 a year. On every plan, each enquiry also lands in your email.

Which parts of the UK do you cover?

We can build for survey firms across the UK.

Can my website show my RICS or Geospatial Survey Association (GSA) membership?

If you hold a membership or accreditation, tell us and we show it in your words; we never add one you have not told us about.

How much does a website for a small survey firm cost?

Prices are per year in pounds sterling. No UK VAT is currently charged. Trig (Template A) is £1,990 for the first year, setup included. The first month is free. £995 is due when you agree to continue after the trial, and £995 is tied to the lead and visit targets we agree with you. Paddock (Template B) is £2,490 for the first year, setup included, split the same way: £1,245 after the trial and £1,245 tied to the targets. From year 2, Trig is £1,190 a year and Paddock is £1,390 a year. The WhatsApp add-on for Trig is £250 a year. Job posts are included in your monthly posts.

What does it cost after the first year?

Your first year includes the build. From year 2, Trig is £1,190 a year and Paddock is £1,390 a year, billed yearly in advance. No UK VAT is currently charged. That covers hosting, SEO upkeep, your monthly posts and lead forwarding. The free month and the split payments apply to the first year only.
